LFSN – Livio Ficarra Silvia Nardi Architects

LFSN office was born in 2009, putting the professional experiences acquired by its members to good use. The firm main field is architecture, but the office works also in images interior design for shipbuilding and public spaces. LFSN approach to design is specialized and tailored: every single project is conceived and built around client and projects specific requirements, always paying attention to the use of light and materials, to their functional and chromatic matching.

In 2010 LFSN has been included in the 20 best offices in “young Italian architect” competition. In 2011 office won the honourable mention in the international competition “I Portici”; in 2012 won the award “Selinunte sezione Young Italian Architects”, passed the first selection of the italian fair titled “contemporany language” organized bu CNAPPC and has been inserted in the list of the best under 40, sicilian architects by AIAC (italian association of critic architecture) and it was mentioned in the “next landmark” architecture prize. LFSN works have been exposed at the Architecture house in Rome and in other italian cities like: Bergamo, Ferrara, Cagliari, Catania, Ragusa, Selinunte, Cuneo and published on the volumes “YA-Young Italian Architects”, “30<40” and on the e-book “Sicily beyond crisis”. Recently the LFSN projects have been published on the websites of THE PLAN, INTERNI, AREA and on the book “Panorama Italiano vol.5” published by THE PLAN. Livio Ficarra and Silvia Nardi were invited to give lectures at SOU, the school of architecture for children at Farm Cultural Park, in Favara. and at camber of architects of Caltanissetta and Trapani.

From 2012 LFSN is committed in the international context working on the design of an exhibition and sales space in ChangZhou, China with a society of Poltona Frau’s group and for the New Yorker company Tihany Design, working on projects and building supervision of public spaces of several cruise ships. Main clients ol LFSN group, besides yet quoted Tihany design, are societies inside the gropus of Poltrona Frau, Edf energies nouvelles, Dedalus S.p.a, Al&Al Marine, Damiano S.p.a.

Livio Ficarra

Livio Ficarra was born on the 11th February 1978 in Mazzarino. After graduating in 2004 at the IUAV in Venice, he attends a master in digital architecture at the Inarch in Rome. From 2005 to 2006 he works with Sartogo Architetti Associati Office, where he dedicates himself to the design development of prestigious public buildings. From 2006 to 2008 he works with the European seat of the American Tihany Design Office, a multidisciplinary design atelier with expertise in a broad range of projects with concentration on hospitality design, dedicating himself to design and construction supervision of projects. In 2012 he obtained the title in PhD concerning materials and technological innovation for engineering and architecture at the Università degli Studi in Catania.

Silvia Nardi

Silvia Nardi was born on the 7th December 1978 in Forlì. In 2004 she graduates at the IUAV in Venice. In 2005 she moves to Rome and, until 2008, she works with CS Architetti Associati Office, dedicating herself to all the steps of design of several public and private buildings, such as, for instance, the renovation of the “Auditorio” building of the Accademia dei Lincei, located in the “Complesso monumentale di Villa Farnesina”, and the design of the multistorey car park and swimming center in the San Lorenzo quarter in the centre of Rome, as the person in charge on design.

Ottaviano Emma

Ottaviano Emma was born on September 25, 1990 in Enna. After graduating from Kore in 2018, in 2019 he collaborates with KWG studio where he deals with the design of various public and private projects and in particular various design objects. Since 2020 he collaborates with LFSN studio dealing with preliminary, definitive and executive planning.
